We are entering the last four weeks of school. We still have
so many things to learn about, but we are really ready for first grade!
Our final Kindergarten assessment starts Monday, April 30.
Our final Dibels (reading ) test will be on Friday, May 4. We will be working
hard this week to be ready to show what we know!
Some of the other things we are learning about:
Social Studies: Whales, oceans.
Math: Subtracting
Literacy: Reading all our Kindergarten sight words, decoding
words, and blending sounds.
Writing: Remembering our best handwriting, practicing
writing sentences with uppercase at the beginning, spaces between the words,
and punctuation at the end.

Wednesday, May 9 Read-a-thon and pajama day (watch for a
note)
Tuesday, May 15 Clifford Day (everyone wear Clifford’s
favorite color and bring a red treat to share if you want)
Wednesday, May 16 School Walk-a-thon
Friday, May 18 field day
Tuesday, May 22 5 Buck Pizza fieldtrip (please bring a $1. Donation)
Thursday, May 24 Reward Movie
Friday, May 25 Final Assembly, Last day of school!
